The 100 yard range is open and ready for use.
There are a few changes and new rules everyone needs to be aware of. There will be no 25 or 50 yard target backstops. There will only be a 100 yard backstop. Those
that want to shoot at those yardages are encouraged to use the 50 yard range that is between the skeet and trap ranges. The existing 100-yard range is shut down.
A list of rules is included below. These will be posted at the range and in the sign in box:
* Rifles, Muzzle Loaders, Hunting Handguns and Slug guns only.
* No Buckshot or Birdshot
* Paper targets only, placed on the designated back stop, and in
the middle sections
* No portable target stands and backstops
* Obey HOT (active shooting) and COLD (guns not being hand-
led) range signals
* No shooting past established benches and firing line
*Rate of fire must be kept on your target *No Automatic weapons on this range or 50 BMG rifles * Sign in and out * EYE and EAR Protection required
Please take pride in our new range. Please clean up after yourself, respect fellow shooters and members, be safe, follow the rules and enjoy it.
Plans are to start working on the 200 and 300 yard ranges in the spring.
Shotgun ranges are open to members and to the public on Saturday mornings from 9:00 AM until noon.
On Tuesdays skeet opens at 3:00 PM. Trap opens at 5:00 PM.
Ranges close when all shooters are done or 9:00 PM, whichever comes first.
Since Skeet begins earlier, those who wish to shoot after at about 6:00 should contact Bruce Krieger in advance at 231-757-2279 or 231-357-4598.
Special arrangements can be made for groups at other times.
Call Bruce Rosema at 231-499-6000 for information.
